Faithful Baildon

Between 1806 and 1906 many Non-Conformist churches and chapels were constructed in and around Baildon village. Remarkably, the population of Baildon only reached 5,000 by the end of this period. Illustrated are nine places of worship that still exist. Only two are still used for their original purpose. Some of the larger buildings could accommodate 400 worshippers.
